Who organizes FMAE?

BSVC is orchestrated by FMAE, which stands for Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers. FMAE holds a prominent position as India’s foremost organization in the realm of automotive design. Since its inception in 2016, FMAE has been at the forefront of offering internships, training programs, and engaging events in the domain of automotive design.

Notably, FMAE also spearheads diverse racing series such as FFS India, FKDC, FMAE Baja, and Moto Student India, further solidifying its presence and impact in the automotive engineering landscape.

What is BSVC?

BSVC stands for “Bharat Solar Vehicle Challenge.” It is a Solar Vehicle Design and Manufacturing Competition orchestrated by the Fraternity of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (FMAE) organization, catering specifically to engineering undergraduates.

This competition is meticulously designed, governed by a comprehensive Rulebook that outlines all regulations pertinent to the event. Scheduled for March 2023, the competition is set to take place in Hyderabad, providing a platform for young engineering talents to showcase their prowess in designing and constructing solar-powered vehicles.

Solar energy is bound to be in our future. There’s a kind of inevitability about it. As FMAE always brings positive and awakening perspectives for every individual and that is always been our aim, so with that we present BHARAT SOLAR VEHICLE CHALLENGE. An engineering design competition for diploma, undergraduate & postgraduate students to Design & Fabricate a Solar Powered Vehicle under the vision and guidelines of FMAE. The ultimate goal for BSVC solar car designers is to design a highly efficient vehicle as per international standards. 

Bharat Solar Vehicle Challenge is an competition inspired from World Solar Challenge. the world’s biggest and most prestigious solar challenge, began in 1987 and occurs once every two years. In 2019, a record 53 entries from 24 countries were received and around 1,500 participants were observed and followed by a global audience of more than 25 million. The event generates industry partnerships across energy, automotive, engineering, financial, material sciences, and IT sectors.

Announcement: FMAE Offers On-the-Job Training (OJT) for Engineering Students in 2023!

Following the successful engagement of approximately 50 engineering students as on-the-job trainees in the design field at FMAE in 2022, we are thrilled to announce the availability of 20 more vacancies for the 2023 batch.

What is on-the-job training (OJT)?

OJT is a specialized program designed for undergraduates. engineering students seeking to gain valuable professional experience by working on industry projects. At FMAE, we offer students the opportunity to work on real-world projects, guiding them through the execution and finalization process. Participants can assume the role of Graduate Engineer Trainee in Design at FMAE, thus acquiring valuable professional experience and recognition.

Benefits to the Students:

Participating in our OJT program offers numerous advantages to the candidates:

1. Enhanced Job Opportunities: Graduates with industry experience are more competitive and have a better chance of securing jobs that require prior work experience.

2. Direct Job Applications: Students can apply for jobs directly through FMAE’s portal, and we may even extend direct offers to exceptional candidates.

3. Scholarship Opportunities: High-performing candidates may increase their chances of obtaining significant scholarships for pursuing Masters programs in India or abroad

4. Impressive Resumes: OJT participants can include their work experience, along with recommendations from esteemed industry officials, in their resumes, making them stand out to potential employers.

Eligibility:

The OJT program is open to engineering students from all academic years. While we encourage all eligible students to apply, priority will be given to former FMAE interns who have completed earlier internships with us.

Registration Process:

To secure a spot in the OJT program, candidates need to pay a registration amount of INR 6,000 + 18% GST, covering operational expenses for FMAE.

Experience Certificate:

Upon successful completion of the program, each participant will receive a 6-month Job Experience Certificate as a Graduate Trainee Engineer at FMAE, adding valuable credibility to their profiles.

Work Profile:

Selected candidates will be required to undertake Complete six major projects related to CAD modeling in SolidWorks and CATIA. Further details will be provided upon registration.
