Brief about the Internship – The Electric Formula Car Design and Manufacturing Internship is a program that provides students with hands-on experience in designing and building an electric-powered race car. The internship involves a team of students working together to design, develop, and test the car.

During the program, students will learn about various aspects of engineering, including mechanical design, electrical systems, and vehicle dynamics. They will also gain practical skills in machining, welding, and fabrication.

At the end of the program, the team will have built a functioning electric race car that can be entered into competitions or used for research purposes. Execution of the Internship – The 10 days of internship covering the complete design and manufacturing of Formula Electric Car is an intensive program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the design and manufacturing processes involved in building an electric race car.

The program is structured in a way that allows students to gain practical experience in various aspects of engineering, including mechanical design, electrical systems, and vehicle dynamics. Students will learn about the principles of electric propulsion, battery technology, and vehicle control systems, as well as advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing, CNC machining, and composite materials.

Throughout the internship, students will work in teams to design and build a functioning Formula Electric Car from scratch, under the guidance of experienced mentors. The program includes hands-on training in welding, fabrication, and assembly, as well as testing and validation of the vehicle’s performance.

By the end of the program, students will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the entire design and manufacturing process involved in building an electric race car. They will have developed practical skills in various areas of engineering and will have a tangible project to showcase to potential employers or clients.

The complete registration fees for the internship is 9000+18% GST which is included with massive discount of close to 30% for our centre at SCTCE, Trivandrum.

Accomodation is available for outstation students in nearby hostels at 400 per day including food and stay.

1	Introduction to the vehicle, Vehicle Dynamics
2	Basics of Software Designing, calculation related to Drivetrain.
3	Designing of Different Components, Simulation and Force Analysis.
4	Braking System Designing and calculations, Manufacturing Practice.
5	Steering System and Suspension System Designing, Frame and Body works designing.
6	Hand on training of tools, machine and sample part making using Welding.
7	Jigs Fixture and frame manufacturing, Suspension A Arm manufacturing
8	Wheel Assembly and steering manufacturing
9	Motor mounting and trasmission assembly
10	Testing and modification ( if required)
	The above listed day wise schedule can vary as per the convenience of the participants.

Certification and LOR

All the participating intens will be awarded with a valid lifetime certification with LOR for future job references or foreign studies.

Note- On request LOR will also be provided to each candidate for job reference or for higher studies.
